Premise: PSIPL conducted a safety audit in the newly renovated HDFC Ergo office at Andheri. The 5audit identified an electrical safety hazard in all washrooms. It was observed that the project team had installed electrical sockets below the hand dryers. This posed a potential danger of a short circuit, as the dryer above the circuit would be used by employees to dry their wet hands, and in all likelihood, the electric unit would constantly be sprinkled with water droplets.
Action Taken: The team explored various alternatives to avoid any mishaps. The vendor quoted them Rs. 49,500 to make changes in all the washrooms. Innovatively, the team thought of a cost-effective solution. There were some acrylic stands (used as name tags for an event) at the site. They used this waste to create covers for the switchboard. All washrooms were fitted with these acrylic covers, carefully covering the switchboard. The team also tested the fitting for its effectiveness.
Benefit: This simple solution provided a safe environment in the washrooms and was cost-effective, as reconstruction was avoided. Additionally, waste was put to the best use. The team received appreciation from the Vice President of the Administration team.

Premise: Daily fresh water was supplied 10 times a day to DM plant for cleaning of lab equipment. Approximately 1200 liters was being used on a daily basis.
After usage, water was drained through a sewage line. Hence there was excessive wastage of water.
Action Taken: Instead of draining DM water after circulation, it was connected to 120-liter storage tank.
The supply was routed to 120-liter tank via an additional pump for recycling. The recycled water is now being re-used for subsequent cleaning during the day. This adheres to all stringent recycling process.
Benefit: Instead of using 1200 liters of fresh water, the recycling process uses only 120 liters and it is recycled water on daily basis and used for the entire day. There is total saving of 1080 liters of fresh water per day and 32400 per month.

Premise:One of the employees' fathers sustained an injury, specifically a crack in the thigh bone, while working at home. Given his financial constraints and the need for an operation, he reached out to us for assistance. Upon reviewing his ESIC history, we discovered that only his name was registered. Swiftly, we engaged our regional HR team to rectify the situation by registering his entire family in ESIC. As a result, he could avail himself of all the benefits provided by ESIC.
Action Taken: Following the incident, an ESIC audit revealed that a significant number of staff members had not registered their family details in ESIC.
Responding promptly, immediate action was taken, educating them about the advantages of ESIC and personally intervening to facilitate the addition of their family details.
In the current scenario, all staff members have proactively registered their names in ESIC, ensuring they can fully avail the facilities provided.
To emphasize the importance of enabling our site employees to benefit from initiative was taken to personally register the details of each and every employee. This proactive step led to the achievement of 100% registration for our site employees, a task that would typically fall under the responsibility of HR Team.
Benefit: After sharing this initiative with the client, team received appreciation for the efforts.
Site employees expressed satisfaction and newfound motivation to give their best in their daily work.
The successful implementation of this activity has been extended to all sites.
This initiative has also proven to be a valuable support to our regional HR Team.

On 14th August 2023, Monday evening Deepak arrived at changing room for cleaning purpose. While cleaning he found a wallet lying on floor. He realized that the wallet contains cash amount which was more than 10k. Immediately he took it in his own custody and informed next shift guard to enter it in Lost and Found register. Upon investigation it was found that Wallet belongs to first shift Security guard Rajkumar. He called Rajkumar and informed him about his lost wallet.
